Our Economic Consulting team sits within our Financial Advisory business and brings together economists, econometricians and financial analysts to apply their combined skills to clients' business issues. The work is varied and delivers real value through areas such as regulatory or competition economics, cost analysis, price optimisation and value profitability analysis. Our technical skills in these areas are combined with Deloitte's deep financial, strategic and industry understanding to create a potent, and unique, package that can be applied across the spectrum of industry.

Responsibilities

Senior Associate will have responsibility for:

* Gain experience in a range of technical areas including economic analysis, market analysis, business modelling, strategy, policy appraisal, economic modelling, valuation and financial analysis
* Apply your analytical skills to solve complex problems
* Work in a challenging environment with like-minded people at the leading edge of economic thinking
* Work on a varied mix of challenging engagements on a project basis
* Develop solutions through debate and discussion in teams and with clients
* Develop report writing, team working, project management skills and the commercial application of economic theory
* Continue with your professional development throughout your career through a training investment
* Work with leading high profile clients in the UK and on a global basis
* Work on potential secondments within the firm and with client organisations

Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

* PhD/MPhil/MSc in Economics, following a good first degree, from a leading university or equivalent qualification or experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The desire to apply analytic and economic skills to real life problems
* Strong skills in working within a team
* An entrepreneurial attitude
