This position will be responsible for designing and conducting complex social science and health care-related research. Exceptional applied econometric skills are required to support work in program evaluations, costs benefits analysis, and health care outcomes-related research. Significant experience in the use of advanced statistical methods is also required. The successful candidate should be an excellent writer and have significant experience preparing final reports, white papers, and referred publications.

Previous experience working as a consultant to federal agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service Division (FNS), and the Department of Labor (DOL), as well as knowledge of federal government and program contracting regulations, is preferred.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a PhD in Economics, Finance, or related quantitative discipline, coupled with 10 or more years of experience in an applied research environment. The appropriate candidate must possess strong attention to detail and have excellent communication skills. Ability to lead and mentor junior staff is also required. Candidates must have extensive experience using Stata, SAS, and Excel. Familiarity with R is desirable.

Candidate must also have the ability to work efficiently and effectively under strict deadlines and possess excellent project management skills.
