At Deloitte, we recognise the investment you are making to develop your skills and knowledge through your chosen undergraduate programme of study in economics and/or econometrics. We are looking for top undergraduates who are in their last year of university and planning to attend a master programme in the field following graduation to join our team's 10-week summer internship scheme. Interns may be given the opportunity to be fast tracked when applying for a full time position after graduation from their chosen post-graduate programme.

Our Economic Consulting team sits within the Corporate Finance service line and brings together economists, econometricians and financial analysts. The work is varied and delivers real value to clients in areas such as cost analysis, price optimisation, value profitability analysis, and competition economics. This is combined with Deloitte's deep financial, strategic and industry understanding to create a unique offering that can be applied across the spectrum of industry and client types.

As an Intern in Economic Consulting, you will have the opportunity to:

* Gain practical experience in a number of technical areas such as economic analysis, market analysis, business modelling, strategy, policy appraisal, econometric modelling, valuation and financial analysis;
* Apply and develop your analytical skills by working in a challenging environment with like-minded people at the leading edge of economic thinking;
* Work on a mix of challenging engagements with leading high profile clients in the UK and globally;
* Gain professional experience whilst commercially applying economic theory; and
* Be considered for a senior associate role after graduation from your chosen post-graduate programme.

We are looking for candidates:

* In their last year of undergraduate studies at a leading university;
* Planning to attend an MPhil/MSc in economics and/or econometrics following graduation;
* With excellent verbal and written communication skills, commercial acumen and an awareness of key business issues; and
* With the desire to apply analytic and economic and/or financial skills to real life problems.
