Teach Economics and Business Statistics in Shanghai, China – Fall 2018, Spring 2019


The Queens College China Program has the following openings in Economics for the Fall 2018 semester and Spring 2019 semester in Shanghai, China.

Fall 2018 Semester Position Only

Teach two sections each of a combined Micro/Macroeconomics course and a Business Statistics course. The total workload is 192 hours. The compensation is an honorarium of $15,000 plus round trip travel, insurance, visa expense, and accommodations in Shanghai. The approximate dates are mid-Sep 2018 – mid-Jan 2019.

2018-19 Academic Year Position: Fall 2018 Plus Spring 2019

Teach for the 2018-19 academic year, Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. The teaching load is 192 hours per semester. In Fall 2018, the assignment is to teach two sections each of a combined Micro/Macroeconomics course and a Business Statistics course. In Spring 2019, the assignment is to teach two sections of Intro Macroeconomics and two sections of Intro Microeconomics. The compensation is an honorarium that is based on qualifications and experience. The program also provides round trip travel, insurance, visa expense, and accommodations in Shanghai. The fall semester runs from mid-Sep to mid Jan; the spring semester runs from end of Feb to mid-June.

Qualifications

A PhD is preferable. ABD and M.A. holders may apply. We are seeking applicants who have a strong commitment to classroom teaching, excellent teaching evaluations, and outstanding interpersonal skills, who can easily adapt to teaching in a university setting in China.
