Overall Purpose:
1. Research and analyze mainly US economic data, prepare daily and other reports
2. Assist other economists

Essential Functions:

1. Analyze the main U.S. macro economic data and write BTMU Focus USA Diary about the data with analysis and insights. And publish it on Internet BTMU home page for internal/external client use. 2. Write BTMU Focus USA Monthly with economic data analysis and insight. And publish it on Internet BTMU home page for internal/external client use. 3. Assist the Chief U.S. Economist and other economists for economic seminars, lectures, and presentation etc. Other office duties the Chief U.S. economist requests. 4. Translate weekly economic/financial reports in English into Japanese. Translate weekly economic reports in Japanese into English. And distribute it for external/internal clients' use. 5. Performs related duties including administrative work and participates in special project as required.

Qualifications

Good writing and analytical skills of economic indicators. Ability to translate English reports to Japanese. Ability to translate Japanese reports to English. Experience as assistant economist preferable. Excel, Word skills.

BA degree, or equivalent work experience
