About the Business Line Economics

We provide services with a concentration in economic analysis. Our economic services encompass planning and programming, measuring and testing, and strategy and implementation for a broad range of clients.
Job Summary AECOM Economics provides applied economic analysis and strategic planning services to a wide range of clients. We work primarily in hospitality, entertainment and leisure, real estate, public facilities, and land use policy and planning. Our clients include private entities, government agencies, and non-profits.

We are currently looking for a graduate looking to build a career in real estate consulting to join AECOM's Economics Team. The Economics Team evaluates the market and economic feasibility of coastal and mountain resorts, hotels, visitor attractions, master planned communities, sports venues, entertainment & leisure schemes, and mixed use developments.

Minimum Requirements

The Analyst is an entry level position for a University Graduate. They will be highly numerate, comfortable with quantitative data and analysis and will be responsible for the basic core research of the project. This can involve conducting internet or desk research, gathering information through phone or face to face interviews and site visits, or generating demographic information. The Analyst is responsible for making the information comprehensible and for providing a base analysis for its meanings and implications.

The Analyst will work as part of a team under the direction of associates and project managers working on projects throughout EMEA.

Key Skill Sets/ Core Competencies

Computer proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
Strong interpersonal skills, charm and maturity to conduct face to face and telephone interviews
Comfortable in dealing with quantitative data and analysis
Writing ability that is coherent, grammatically correct, analytical, and professional.
Listens to others and accepts input from team members
Displays a positive attitude
Highly motivated and proactive
Natural curiosity and readiness for travelling with project team
Effective time management and ability to multi-task
English language (fluent) + additional languages (advantageous)
Preferred Qualifications
Given the evolving profile of our project work, candidates with qualifications from a well-regarded business or hotel school who have completed a broad-based course that includes development finance, market analysis and hospitality operations would be desirable. In addition, we are looking for candidates with a global outlook, as this role will involve project work covering Europe, the Middle East and, increasingly, Africa.
