The Economic Reform Unit is now with the Department of Finance and will support the Department's goal of encouraging a high performing public sector. We are building a dynamic team that is open to new ideas and innovations, with a strong customer service orientation to deliver improvements across W.A. through regulatory reform.

Assistant Director Red Tape Reduction
Position No: 00022727
Lead a red tape reduction program that engages customers and delivers more efficient government regulation and processes with lower costs to business, government and the community. Your focus will be on supporting agencies to critically assess regulations and associated processes, and understand the benefits of freeing businesses and NGO's from unnecessary red tape.

Assistant Director Regulatory Reform
Position No: 00009578
Using your economic expertise, lead the quest to reform existing regulatory arrangements. You will work with agencies to identify and develop reforms that will enable a more efficient and productive economy.

Assistant Director Regulatory Gatekeeping
Position No: 00008725
Lead the drive to best practice regulation making and review across the W.A. Government. By promoting efficient and cost effective regulatory outcomes you will be contributing to the Government's regulatory reform and productivity agenda.

Other opportunities at various levels are also becoming available as part of a pool.

Individuals with a broad range of experience including government/resources/industry and banking with substantial experience and proven results in the delivery of regulatory reforms and/or process improvement are sought.
