Position Objective: Broward College invites applicants for a full-time tenure track teaching position in Economics.

Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners.

Minimum Education:
A Master's degree in Economics or a Master's degree with eighteen graduate semester hours in Economics is required. A Doctorate degree is preferred. Industry experience, software skills, and e-learning experience is preferred.

This position is a yearly two semester (163 day) contract. Some schedules may require evening and/or weekend hours and committee work may be needed.

Minimum Experience/Training:
Teaching experience in a college or post-secondary institution is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate must have some college-level teaching experience, a high level of computer literacy, and a commitment to teaching at a community college. Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement, and persistence; (3) technology competencies as well as teaching/counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; and (4) the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives.
