FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Economics, located in the School of Business at Brooklyn College, is inviting applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall semester 2015. The successful candidate will have research expertise and teaching experience/interest in one or more of the following disciplines: Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Applied Macroeconomics, and/or Data Analysis.

This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching assignments are dependent on the background and expertise of individual faculty member and the needs of the department. The candidate will be expected to teach in both the undergraduate and master's programs. Faculty members are expected to fulfill service obligations and publish in refereed journals.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Ph.D. degree in Economics
- Ability to teach a variety of economics-related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Evidence of publications in refereed economics-related journals, or potential thereof, required
- Candidates with a strong research record preferred
- Evidence of superior teaching is highly desirable

COMPENSATION

$61,903 - $81,645; Commensurate with experience and credentials.
All appointments are subject to financial availability.
