Assistant Professor in Economics

The University of Oregon Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin Fall 2015. We are primarily interested in candidates whose research interests lie in the field of industrial organization, however, exceptional candidates from all fields of economics will be considered. Qualified candidates must demonstrate potential for outstanding research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and pursue research that enhances existing areas of strength in the department. A Ph.D. in economics must also be complete by September 15, 2015. The successful candidate will support and enhance a diverse learning and working environment.

Candidates should submit a cover letter, CV, copy of graduate transcripts, a written research sample, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. They should also arrange to have three letters of recommendation submitted. Please submit all application materials, including letters of recommendation, by November 15, 2014 to ensure consideration; the position will remain open until filled, subject to funding.
