Job Description

Job Purpose:
Research analyst to support GMS and AA products including monthly Asset Allocation and FX Forecasts and Weekly Global Macro Strategy
Written research on macro markets including trade idea generation
Client interaction
Support on database management, model and tool building

Job Background/context:
Citi Research focuses on delivering high quality investment insights to clients on a global basis. The unit includes Equity and Fixed Income research as well as Economic analysis; and has staff in 25 locations around the world. Citi Research is committed to maintaining the highest level of independence and objectivity in its proprietary products and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
Support for team as required above
As required by macro team
Assisting the writing, production and editing of Weekly, Trade Ideas, Focus pieces, FX Forecasts, Asset Allocation
Support for velocity inputs from team and to Bloomberg page CGMS

Development Value:
Exposure to analysts and senior management in Citi Research globally.
Exposure to sales staff across many divisions of Citi (Institutional Clients, Private Banking, Structured Products, Derivatives, etc.)

Personal Specification

Knowledge/Experience:
Of financial markets an advantage but aptitude, enthusiasm, work ethic and sense of humour probably as important for now.

Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork ethic
Strong excel (inc. VBA) and technical/ quantitative expertise
Knowledge of macrobond, Bloomberg, yield book, Scooby2 an advantage
Econometrics training an advantage
Ability to write clearly, quickly to deadlines and effectively
Multi task ability under pressure
Aptitude and interest for financial markets

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree level candidate as a minimum

Accuracy with a great attention to detail
Methodical approach and strong organisational capabilities
