Responsibilities
Drive user-centered thinking into country team strategies, objective setting and accomplishment of key results
Partner with Growth Strategy, Growth Research leads, Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to frame relevant research questions for country product, marketing and market initiatives; develop market-specific knowledge to positively impact user growth and engagement
Conduct primary research to understand people (users and non users), their behaviors, perceptions, use cases, and market opportunities that would enhance their understanding, adoption and use of Twitter
Synthesize and integrate multiple data streams, including syndicated research, analytics, survey data, and user research, to deliver market insights that lead to a deeper understanding of users and their social and cultural contexts
Bring markets and users to life in inspiring and compelling ways, e.g. storytelling and highly visual presentations
Develop expertise in the assigned market(s) and act as the day-to-day contact for knowledge and understanding about market dynamics, cultural contexts and user behavior
Requirements
5+ years conducting user/product research, market/country research, or marketing/ advertising research is preferred - with an excellent command of both qualitative and quantitative methods
Demonstrated understanding of the Australian consumer market
Familiarity conducting hands on research, both domestically and internationally, as well as managing research vendors; Methodologies may include but are not limited to surveys, focus groups, ethnographic field research, in-depth interviews and contextual inquiry
Experience working directly with Strategy, Design, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams; prior experience with high-growth companies is a plus
Proficiency in Tableau or statistical packages such as SPSS or R is a plus
Fluency in English. Fluency in additional languages desirable
BS, MS, or PhD in Economics, Marketing, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field
