Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) is seeking an Economic Strategist to join the Asset Allocation Team in the Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions Group (MASS). The Asset Allocation team manages investment strategies across a global set of asset classes. The team's objective is to add value primarily through tactical allocation across the classes and secondarily by assisting in strategic reallocation of investment strategies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Identify, monitor, and analyze, using an econometric skillset, the determinants of economic growth in and among developed and emerging countries.
• Apply economic insights to both existing asset class valuation models and those under development used in tactical asset allocation decisions.
• Develop independent investment recommendations and market views across asset classes; contribute actionable tactical ideas in deliberations with colleagues.
• Contribute to the development of the team's long term capital market forecasts used in the development of strategic asset allocation and active risk management decisions.
• Communicate economic themes and investment drivers to senior colleagues, internal and occasionally external audiences.

Experience:
• MA/MS in Economics or related field required; PhD preferred.
• Investment orientation; minimum of 8-10 years of experience on a portfolio management team or in a top-down or macro investment process required.
• Demonstrable record of value-added investment decisions is a distinct advantage.
• Strong analytical ability with a particular emphasis on econometric skills applied within a macroeconomic framework.
• Collaborative and team oriented, understands the importance of working effectively with other investment professionals and investment teams.
• Excellent organizational skills; coverage of developed and emerging economies is comprehensive and detailed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present results into both written and verbal form are also required.
