Economics Consulting Analyst / Associate

AlixPartners
London - United Kingdom
S: Competitive

AlixPartners is a leading global business advisory firm of results-oriented professionals who specialize in creating value and restoring performance at every stage of the business life cycle. We thrive on our ability to make a difference in high-impact situations and to deliver sustainable, bottom-line results.

We are currently looking for highly motivated Masters or PhD students to join our Economics Consulting team in London. Our team of economists helps clients who are facing significant challenges in matters involving antitrust, economic regulation, litigation and business strategy. We support companies and their legal advisers by providing expert testimony, empirical evidence and economics-based advice.

Candidates will already hold an undergraduate degree in Economics and will be expecting to receive a postgraduate degree in economics or econometrics, preferably with a focus on industrial organization, microeconomics or applied econometrics. A mix of analytical rigour, the ability to apply economic theory to a wide range of practical problems and strong communication skills are key requirements.

Our economics consultants are part of our wider litigation and disputes support practice, which places a strong emphasis on advice that can withstand scrutiny. We therefore emphasize technical excellence in economic theory and empirical analysis and combine this with the strong consulting and communications skills for which our firm is renowned. We regularly work with external academic advisors to ensure that our analysis reflects the latest insights in the academic literature and employs state-of-the-art empirical techniques.

We have exciting growths plans that we'd like you to be part of. Our culture is fast-paced, highly collaborative and down-to-earth and the level of exposure you will receive at AlixPartners is second to none.

Current citizenship; passport holder and/or work authorization in EMEA. Applicants need to have their own documents or work permits in place that enable them to travel and work across the US, or European Union.
