As an Economist/Analyst, you will use econometric and statistical modeling to analyze data and answer complex questions related to users, advertisers, and revenue. You should be passionate about finding insights in data, working with large datasets, and driving practical business impact.

Responsibilities:

You will be a key member of the Sales Finance team working closely with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Analytics teams at Twitter. As such, you will:

• Analyze experiments and impacts of product launches using econometric techniques

• Develop innovative statistical models to analyze and forecast demand, supply, and new revenue opportunities

• Communicate analyses to executives, product managers, engineers

• Use metrics and quantitative analysis to identify growth risks and opportunities and influence business partners to drive timely decision making

• Master R, SQL, statistical modeling, financial modeling, simulations, etc.

• Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data

• Remain detail-oriented while working across a wide variety of projects

Requirements:

• 3+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems

• MS or PhD in Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field

• Expert with R/Stata/SAS/Matlab, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners

• Possess a demonstrable grasp of Twitter, mobile, web and media markets

• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment

• Experience w online data, a plus
