Financial Analyst - Global Display Advertising

This role offers you the opportunity to partner with the Global Performance Solutions Sales team and become an expert in our exciting Display advertising products like GDN (Google Display Network), Mobile Apps, DBM (DoubleClick Bid Manager) and AdX (Ad Exchange) as well as general exposure to other products including Search, YouTube, etc. You will work side by side with the Sales Strategy, Product and Regional Sales Finance teams for your respective area and enable decision making through appropriate analysis and business analytics. You will act as a key advisor to sales management on issues related to market investment strategies, business profitability and resource allocation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to bring innovation and creativity to solve new strategic challenges such as how we think about product adoption, inventory supply-demand dynamics and cross-product optimization. Responsibilities
Research and drive meaningful business insights for Google Display products, including GDN, Mobile Apps, DBM and AdX.
Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of business, risks and opportunities leading to business enhancing Sales and Product actions.
Work closely with Sales leadership to determine new KPIs and implement scalable frameworks for new KPI tracking and reporting to be used by multiple Sales teams.
Collaborate with wider regional and central Sales Finance team to ensure clear communication and partnership in developing analysis and driving decision making.
Partner with leaders in Sales and Product organizations to understand sales drivers of business, build tools that create accountability against agreed objectives and implement methodologies to measure success. Develop analyses/tools to track business growth for Google's properties to better understand the drivers of that growth.

Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Math or related field or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of relevant financial/quantitative experience.
Experience with time series analysis and large scale data systems.

Preferred qualifications
Experience in software programming with scripting languages such as SQL, R, Tableau.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software.
Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desire to attack large, complex problems.
