The Company

Go beyond. At Towers Watson, we are more than individuals. We are a community focused on helping our colleagues and clients thrive and succeed. Towers Watson is a leading global professional services company that helps organizations improve performance through effective people, risk and financial management. With 15,000 associates around the world, we offer consulting, technology and solutions in the areas of benefits, talent management, rewards, and risk and capital management.

The Business

The GRU is responsible for the content and production of Towers Watson Data Services' reference reports and surveys (such as country starter kits and General Industry compensation surveys). The team is also available to assist on client projects involving global employee benefits and labor environments, identifying upcoming changes to global pensions legislation and practice, analyzing and summarizing the effect on current practice and disseminating the information to consultants and clients. They produce Global News Briefs client email alerts, Weekly Headlines for consultants, Quarterly Benefits Update to support consultants in discussions with their clients on key legislative changes and support the International Consulting Group (ICG) in relation to global benefits changes and employment related material to pensions.

The Role

The GRU Consultant is the focal point for researching, analyzing, integrating and distributing information related to mandatory and voluntary employment terms and conditions and benefits around the world.

The nature of the work most of all requires exceptional writing skills, strong attention to detail, as well as critical thinking, researching and analyzing skills. The role also requires first-rate project management skills due to the global scope of the team's responsibilities. The role resembles a global employment and benefits researcher and journalist trying to understand, capture and translate complex social security and employment matters into simple business concepts that global employers should take into consideration to effectively attract, reward, motivate employees and comply with local regulations in more than 65 countries.

The Requirements

The ideal candidate should have exceptional writing and researching skills, genuine interest/experience in global employment or business. A good understanding of the Benefits environment and/or the TW Benefits or Data Services offering would be a plus.

Internal candidates with the right skillset and competencies (motivation for research and analysis, need for in depth understanding of a system, short and to the point writing style, excellent command of English) are a perfect match as they already have the knowledge of TW methodologies, tools and reports, which is equally important and takes significant time to develop.
