Our Labor Market and Economic Analysis Branch of ESD is in need of one (1) non-permanent Labor Market Econometrician to conduct comprehensive research and identify quantitative models to improve methods used to conduct labor market analyses in order to estimate employment projections and the types of labor demand expected in Washington State due to the Covid-19 pandemic and other possible factors. As a Labor Market Econometrician, you will be responsible to gather, input, prepare and clean raw data to use in the evaluations of processes and methods as well as peer review ongoing impact evaluations or related econometric projects.

Please Note: This position offers course credit for students.

The work we do matters. The Labor Market and Economic Analysis team supports the agency mission and the employment process by providing businesses, individuals and other customers with the labor market information they need to succeed in a changing economy. As a Labor Market Econometrician, you will have the discretion and freedom to choose the methods of your research with little supervision. We won't micromanage your work. Our weekly meetings will consist of sharing ideas, learning from one another, valuable collaboration and teamwork.

This is a non-permanent position with an estimated end date of 6/30/2021.
