The Queen’s Management School is seeking applications for the position of Lecturer in Economics with a specialisation in one or more of the fields of development economics; environmental economics; welfare economics; and/or the economics of inequality.

The Economics group at Queen’s Management School is renowned for its high-quality research and its excellent teaching standards as indicated by REF2014, National Student Survey and Times Higher rankings. Our academics have research interests across many fields of economics including economic history, health economics, labour economics, economic growth, development economics, environmental economics, welfare economics, political economy, game theory, and the economics of networks. The group is responsible for several undergraduate programmes in Economics and launched a new MSc programme in Economics in 2015/16. The successful applicant will be a committed teacher as well as have the potential to publish in journals of an international standard in development economics; environmental economics; welfare economics; and/or the economics of inequality.

The successful candidate must have:
• PhD in Economics (or cognate field) or within six months of completion
• Potential to publish at an international standard in at least one of the fields of development economics; environmental economics; welfare economics; and/or the economics of inequality
• Potential to earn external research income
• Teaching and assessment experience at undergraduate or postgraduate levels in Economics
