Market Structure Economist

The candidate will be joining a newly formed research team and work closely with other team members. The candidate will be responsible for analysing market participant's behaviour with a special emphasis on the identification of potential changes in global market structures due to structural changes in regulatory and policy frameworks. This will include - for example - drawing market implications from changes in investors' behaviour because of central bank unconventional policies, or from regulatory changes affecting banks and institutional investors.
The role will include mapping out asset holdings by large institutional investors globally and their asset allocation behaviour in a changing policy and regulatory environment. It will also require collecting and analysing in a systematic way data on investors' positioning, sentiment and performance.

Candidates will have:
• 5-10 year experience with financial markets either from the buy side or sell side and have a strong quantitative background.
• Post graduate degree in finance
• Proficiency in financial market instruments including derivatives
• Experience in markets, derivatives, economics, and potentially research/strategy within a buy or sell side firm.
