Citi Markets Analytics is responsible for business performance management and analytics focused towards achieving the division's overall strategy. The team is focused on ICG financial reporting and the development of business intelligence tools that enable senior management to examine performance drivers and gain predictive analytical insight.

The team produces daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analytics relating to topics surrounding Balance Sheet, Revenues, Expenses, Headcount, Budget, Capital, Risk, etc. As a member of the GMA team, you will be the eyes and ears of our internal client base to drive analytics centered on business change. The team focuses on risk management, trading, regulatory, quantitative, technology, operations and accounting.

This breadth of exposure enables the GMA group to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well-integrated manner. We bridge the gap in data analytics and are the ambassadors to drive re-engineering solutions to meet the demand of the market.

The responsibilities of this position include:

Deliver business intelligence solutions that will enable senior management, support groups and core business groups to monitor financial/business key drivers and metrics
Consult with Senior Leaders to develop relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), MBR and QBRs for client related performance and ad-hoc reporting related to an array of product types, position and security analysis
Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
Manage reengineering initiatives to improve data gathering and reporting processes to assist product control and risk teams during the close cycles
Articulate drivers of revenue performance within the Markets business, and understand cyclicality and broader industry trends
Reengineer, troubleshoot and moderate product specific solutions and training at all levels to resolve issues and increase automated processing
Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes
Cultivate and manage business development opportunities

Knowledge/Experience:

Understanding of Banking, Finance and regulatory works (Basel, Volcker)
Familiarity with key regulatory issues facing the industry and the associated impacts on the capital markets and financial institution's operation
Risk measurement methods and disciplinesUnderstanding of capital markets trading functions and related control processes
Expertise in Excel, Power Point, VBA, Macro's, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Tableau

Qualifications

Excellent academic background with a minimum of a Bachelors in a Finance, Economics or Accounting related field; Advanced degree a plus
1- 3 years' experience in a financial services/consulting capacity within a large organization
Proven track record of success Applicable Skill Sets Include:
Effective analytical skills, ability to work and synthesize large data sets
Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
Problem solving and solution development
Pro-Active/Positive attitude to take ownership of a process, think dynamically to drive solutions and understand the ramification of decisions
Ability to work on a collaborative team as well as independently
Capable of multitasking & prioritizing work streams in a changing work environment with tight deadlines
Attention to detail given the sensitivity of the select data components
Willingness to ask questions and look at issues with a dynamic lens
Desire to learn the about the business
