The Faculty of Economics in central Cambridge wishes to appoint a full time Post-Doctoral Research Associate from September 2014 to work on a project entitled "International Policy Challenges in the Transition to Recovery", supporting the Centre for Macroeconomics http://www.centreformacroeconomics.ac.uk. The post is funded by an ESRC Research Centre grant entitled "Working Towards a Stable and Sustainable Growth Plan". The project is directed by Professor Giancarlo Corsetti (http://www.econ.cam.ac.uk/faculty/corsetti).

Candidates should have a Ph.D or be expected to receive their award by September 2014. The successful candidate will be expected to produce independent high-quality research and be encouraged to collaborate with the Faculty in ongoing research projects. Candidates with a strong background in applied empirical analysis, and strong programming skills, along with a good working knowledge of Matlab and Stata will be given the strongest consideration. Experience in working with large dataset is desired.
