Reporting Information/Location
The Quantitative Financial Analytics Officer is located at 1717 Main St., Dallas, Texas or may be filled in Auburn Hills, MI and reports to the SVP Portfolio Risk Manager. This position has no direct reports.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of financial, demographic, behavioral, and economic and market data.
- Obtain information from various business lines and data analysts, link information from disparate sources, analyze the information, and communicate the finding back to the credit officers and business leaders.
- Participate in the development, monitoring, validation (benchmarking, backtesting and all other Basel II requirements) and calibration of commercial risk models.
- Provide support for risk rating tool deployment and usage, including testing and training.
- Maintain an awareness of evolving regulatory guidelines (Federal and Basel).
- Communicate policy changes from the financial regulatory institutions, such as, the Federal Reserve, and evaluating its impact on Comerica's loans and capital.

Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA) in Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, Statistics, or Operations Research
- 4 years SAS and other econometric, modeling or other statistical software
- 2 years quantitative analysis in financial services industry or credit risk management experience
- 2 years experience in query databases, conceptualizing complex problems using financial theory, and empirical estimations
- 1 year liquid credit/SBSS, D&B, and external data Credit Bureau or related data experience
