Our Boston, MA-based team is currently seeking a Real Estate Analyst to join our team. The Real Estate Analyst's primary function will be to support CoStar Portfolio Strategy's Economists and Directors building client presentations and keeping our in house research polished and up-to-date. The role provides an exceptional opportunity for an entry level candidate to learn how market research is applied by large commercial real estate investors and to gain exposure to industry veterans. RESPONSIBILITES

Support CoStar's Real Estate Economists and Directors building client presentations that help apartment, office, industrial, and retail investors identify opportunities for investment.
Leverage the CoStar website and economic databases to enhance CoStar Portfolio research.
Consolidate and synthesize data from multiple sources, using Microsoft Access and advanced functionality in Excel including vlookup and pivot tables.
Update and create impactful charts and slides for high visibility conferences, webinars, and research papers.
Perform ad hoc, custom client research and provide support for delivery of work to clients.
One of the primary goals of this position is to learn the skills needed to become a real estate economist, including understanding of what market data means and being able to communicate this to others.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Economics, MBA, Finance or Urban Planning preferred.
Prior exposure to commercial real estate terminology either through coursework, internship, or work experience is desired.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Office suite required (knowledge of advanced Excel functions preferred).
Demonstrated evidence of stellar communication and writing skills.
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity that will promote strong market analysis.
Team player that thrives in a collegial environment.
Excellent time management skills that facilitate working in a deadline-driven environment.
