Position
The new position is for a mid-level economic analyst to join our emerging market economic team within our Global Economics research group.

Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background with post-graduate qualifications in economics. In addition, three to five years of economic research experience from either a financial institution or a public policy institution.

Our Economists typically have track records of outstanding professional performance and/or academic achievement, along with a solid understanding of financial markets and strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should excel at conducting independent research, working as part of a collaborative global team and be able to present results to both expert and non-expert audiences. Previous experience with economic research in emerging markets will be highly regarded. The candidate should possess excellent excel skills and the ability to demonstrate strong quantitative skills.

Job Description
The analyst will report to the Director of Global Economic Research and will assist other members of the global team with broad-based macro and financial analysis and country-specific research.

The key objective of this role is to assist with providing analysis and forecasting to impact portfolio construction in multi-sector and emerging market portfolios and currencies. Additionally, the economic analyst will be involved in-depth macro-economic and sovereign risk analyses for specific investment recommendations to the portfolio management teams.
